Pricing and Fees
Most people want to know two things before anything else. What actually happens, and what it costs. Here is exactly how an assessment works and how pricing is structured, so there are no surprises.
Testing happens in two stages, and you only pay for the stage your situation needs.
The two stage process
Stage one: initial screening
Every assessment begins with an on site screening test. I attend the property or vehicle and sample the locations most likely to carry residue. Screening gives a fast, lower cost indication of whether methamphetamine residue is likely to be present. It is the practical first step, and for many clients it is the only step needed.
Stage two: laboratory analysis
Where screening indicates residue may be present, samples are sent to a NATA accredited laboratory. The laboratory measures the exact level in micrograms per 100 square centimetres and compares it against the Australian standard of 0.5. This quantified laboratory result is what determines whether decontamination is warranted. Lab analysis carries an additional cost because each sample is independently analysed.
Which approach fits you
For situations where documented, independent evidence is needed from the outset, such as buying a property or an insurance matter, laboratory analysis may be the right step from the start rather than screening alone. I will explain which approach suits your situation before any work begins.

If decontamination is warranted
Where the laboratory result is at or above the standard, I refer you to an independent decontamination provider. SafeTrace does not decontaminate any property it has tested, so your result stays independent.
No residue indicated
You receive a screening report and no further testing is needed.
Laboratory analysis
Samples go to the NATA-accredited partner laboratory for analysis against the Australian standard of 0.5 micrograms per 100 square centimetres.

Pricing follows the two stages, so the cost reflects what your situation actually requires.
Property
From $400, priced by the size of the property. You get the figure in writing before we attend. Includes attendance, sampling at the standard locations, and a written screening report.
Laboratory analysis is quoted per job, with each sample priced separately. Confirmed in writing before anything is sent to the laboratory. Applies only if screening indicates further testing is warranted, and includes NATA-accredited partner laboratory analysis and your formal result report measured against the Australian standard.
Vehicles
Quoted on inspection. Includes attendance and sampling, with the figure confirmed in writing before we attend.
Laboratory analysis is quoted per job, with each sample priced separately, on the same basis as property. Confirmed in writing before anything is sent to the laboratory.
Larger or complex jobs
Larger properties, multiple rooms, or anything outside a standard assessment are quoted individually so the price reflects the real scope. Request a quote and you will have a clear figure before any work starts.
